Jennifer Altemueller
Growing up in a family of dog lovers, Jennifer naturally had a love of all animals. Her mother enjoyed the smaller, hypoallergenic breeds, like the poodle, but Jennifer always had a desire to have a bigger dog and, for some particular reason, was always drawn to the German Shepherd.
Jennifer's Story
Jennifer didn’t get her first German Shepherd until she was in her early 40s, when her and her husband, Klaus (who had grown up with the breed) decided to add another dog to their family. In 2008, Jennifer and Klaus rescued Cheyenne, a gorgeous, sable German Shepherd.
Jennifer always said that Cheyenne taught her everything she needed to know about the breed. The regal, loyal, intelligent, protective nature of this breed was everything Jennifer always believed to be true of the German Shepherd Dog.
